Job Description
Objective Raise up a vibrant worship, music, and arts ministry that enhances the mission of the church to bring those far from God into a close a living relationship with him.
Accountability The Minister will be directly accountable to the Lead Pastor.
Job Responsibilities
Leadership
Oversees the worship ministry of the church in weekly worship along with other aspects of worship in the church.
Development
Stimulates development of Worship, Music and the Arts in the life of our congregation, both in worship and outside formal worship times.
Qualifications
The Minister of Worship, Music, and Arts should have a demonstrated track record of leadership in worship, music, and arts ministry with at least 3-5 years experience. This might include work in a congregational blended worship format, with skills in traditional and contemporary forms of worship. A substantial theological foundation is necessary, as is a vibrant and growing personal maturity in Christ. The ideal candidate is an equipping leader.
Training:
?A Bachelor of Arts in music is required, a masters is preferred. Seminary or ministry training would be helpful
?An ability to arrange, compose, and sequence music for both contemporary and/or traditional music ensembles is required.
?Experience in directing both traditional choral ministry and contemporary ensembles.

Additional Information:
In Leadership the job responsibilities include but are not limited by the following
• Oversees all aspects of the weekly worship service (excluding the sermon)
Including:
a. music and arts worship, special worship
b. technical aspects (audio/visual); the maintaining and upgrading of equipment and training AV teams
c. aesthetic aspects; art and décor in worship spaces
• Lead new, creative arts to enhance the mission of our church
• Develops leadership within musical ensembles and creates new venues for musicians to use their gifts.
• Discovers possible performers/artists and encourages an environment of musical, artistic and spiritual growth
• Leads as needed in the weekly worship services.
• Supervises, trains, and leads worship ensembles including the adult choir and praise band on a regular basis.
• Coordinates or supervises any additional music ministries involvement during worship service (Children’s music ministry, college band etc.)
In Development the job responsibilities include but are not limited by the following
• Stimulates development of the Arts in the life of our congregation, both in worship and outside formal worship times.
• Raises up/works with drama/visual arts teams
• Develops a strategy for supporting artists and musicians in the church
• Develops creative arts outreach programs that are missional in nature for all ages.
