A Celebration of Martin Luther King's
Biblical Legacy

Co-sponsored by the Department of Near Eastern Studies, the Freedman Lectures, and the Michigan Center for Early Christian Studies.

In honor of the 50th year since Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated, three groups are co-sponsoring an event at the University of Michigan to commemorate MLK day. The Department of Near Eastern Studies, the Freedman Lectures, and the Michigan Center for Early Christian Studies are sponsoring a talk and panel discussion entitled "A Celebration of MLK's Biblical Legacy" on January 25, 2018.

Professor of New Testament and Early Christianity, Mitzi Smith from Ashland University, will give a presentation on MLK's Biblical legacy. Her talk will be followed by a panel of distinguished pastors and scholars discussing dimensions of MLK's Biblical legacy. Please plan to join us!
