Pray that Huron Hills Church will grasp a deeper understanding of what devotion to Jesus looks like. Pray that we will put our faith into action. Pray that we will devote ourselves to God's Word, fellowship, and generosity. With gratitude, let's offer up to God hearts of thanksgiving and praise for what he has given us.
Ephesians 1: 17–21
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.

Our impact here and around the world couldn't happen without the faithful obedience and humble service of our volunteers! We'll honor their work, thank God for the gifts to Bethania Kids, and hear from David Granner, Co-founder of Bethania Kids! Ice cream treats for everyone after each gathering too!

Serve Our City—Thank You!
To the more than 120 folks who donned blue shirts and went out to the seven sites around Ann Arbor to Serve Our City—Thank you! Principals and staff at each site have been blown away by the hard work you did. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus. We love ministering with you. – Bianca

From the Board Chair
Carole Metzger showed us a clip from an Egyptian newscast about how the Coptic Christians in Egypt were openly praying for and forgiving the terrorists who bombed their churches and killed 45 people at Easter time. The power of forgiveness completely overwhelmed the national broadcaster and he said that the Christians’ forgiveness was something that he could not do. He is correct. We cannot forgive, but Christ in us can. The power of forgiveness transforms us and helps us understand the profound love the Lord has for each one of us. Chris Tomlin’s song lyrics ring true:
I'm forgiven because you were forsaken
I'm accepted, you were condemned
I'm alive and well
Your spirit is within me
Because you died and rose again
Amazing love, how can it be?
That you, my king. would die for me
Amazing love, I know it's true
Its my joy to honor you
Amazing love how can it be?
That my king would die for me
Amazing love I know it's true
It’s my joy to honor you
In all I do
I honor you

Shiloh (new day and time!)
The name Shiloh means "place of peace." For women experiencing the pain of infertility or loss, nothing may be more needed than peace, rest, support, and understanding. Join us on the last Wednesday of each month at 7pm in Room 117 on the lower level. The lower level doors will be unlocked, and you will be greeted with tea, snacks, and a place of peace. email@example.com

Highly Caffeinated Church
We're a church that enjoys our coffee and tea! Our amazing Coffee Team can always use additional volunteers to help prepare coffee, which—let's face it—goes a long way towards getting people ready to worship in the morning! Contact Jane Talbot to get involved (firstname.lastname@example.org).
We also use ceramic mugs for our beverages in an effort to reject the "single use" mentality that is doing harm to God's created world. We encourage you to bring your own favorite mug or tumbler when you come on Sundays. If you forget - no problem. Feel free to use one of our logo mugs and leave it here to be washed.
Volunteers Needed for HHKids
We need a host to check in families on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 9:30. You'll receive training. This is an important ministry to welcome new families and greet our regulars! This summer, especially with the renovation, we are in need of volunteers, as our regular teacher take a well deserved break. Please sign up in the lobbies or online: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090d4baba82faaf49-hhkids1
May in HHKids Elementary
This month we will explore determination—deciding it’s worth it to finish what you started. God sent the Holy Spirit to empower us to show faith and determination in the face of whatever might happen along the way. Our Memory Verse for May is Galatians 6:9, “Let us not become tired of doing good. At the right time we will gather a crop if we don’t give up” (NIrV).
Parents: Mark your calendar for the next Date Night! Saturday June 24, 6–8pm. Our HHYouth Mexico team will host a fun outdoor games themed date night as a fundraiser for their July mission trip. Details to come!
Staff Changes in HHKids
We say goodbye to Joanne Beckwith, our HHKids Coordinator, who has done a wonderful job this year managing our preschool side on top of working toward her PhD in chemical engineering. We couldn't have done the year without her! Thank you, Joanne! Steph Ebright will once again step up for the summer as our interim coordinator—we're looking forward to a great summer in HHKids.
May in First Look
This month we invite all our preschoolers to "Come to the Castle" and hear stories from the King! We will be learning that God is always us and teaches us the way to go. The memory verse for the month is Deuteronomy 10:17 - “He is the great God, the mighty and awesome God.”
There are weekly email updates sent out for HS and MS parents. If you're not on the list but would like to be, please email email@example.com to get added. Any and all questions are welcome!
