As we enter this New Year, we ask for your grace to live and walk in your presence day by day. May the people of Huron Hills, empowered by your Spirit, earnestly seek you in prayer, praise, and provision for every need great or small. May we step out in the world ready to share with others: our time, resources and hearts of compassion. Amen.
- Isaiah 12:4,5—Give praise to the Lord, proclaim His name; make known among the nations what He has done, and proclaim that His name is exalted. Sing to the Lord, for He has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world.

We have one that meets every day of the week. Check out our Home Group station in the Lobby or e-mail JulieMEsch@yahoo.com to find one that is a good fit.

Snow Patrol Volunteers Needed
Your HHC Properties Ministry Team is looking for volunteers to take ONE weekend this winter to be responsible to remove snow from the walks around the church and the Lodge and to keep the areas near the doors clear of ice during the Sunday morning activities.
This is a Saturday/Sunday AM only responsibility. We have great equipment and will train you to use it. This could perhaps be a Home Group, parent/child activity, or done as an individual.
If you are willing to volunteer for an upcoming weekend this winter, please email Brad Davis at email@example.com. Be a part of the Snow Removal Team at Huron Hills!
Proposed Change to HHC By-Laws
The Huron Hills Church Board has favorably considered, and is now communicating, a proposed change to HHC By-Laws: Increasing the length of the Nominating Team term from two to three years. The proposed wording of the change is below. The first reading of the proposed change will be on Sunday, February 4 with a vote on Sunday, March 4 (concurrent with the Annual Meeting). Go to the Info Center to pick up an information packet with the text of the proposed change, along with FAQs. The information was also attached to Pastor Nathan's email this week.
Reaching Out to Homeless Families
Four times a year HHC serves as the host congregation at Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) at Alpha House. The mission of IHN is to provide food, shelter and comprehensive services in a caring atmosphere of dignity and safety for the homeless families of Washtenaw County. The goal is to support the families in securing and maintaining their own home. Last year HHC volunteers, along with volunteers from other congregations, helped to shelter, feed and support 52 families at Alpha House.
You can be a neighbor to these families and extend the love of Christ by volunteering to provide supplies, prepare and serve meals, participate in the children’s activity time or stay overnight. Our next host week is Monday, January 29–Friday, February 2. Join hands with others at HHC to serve those in need. Look for the sign up board in the foyer of HHC or contact Margaret Gaugler for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org. More info can be found at www.alphahouse-ihn.org.
